The things we enjoyed

We visited Eastview mid-day, when the sun was beating down at 30 degrees C.  There was no one else there, so the play structure was all our own and we were free to explore uninterrupted.  The are was under construction, so not all amenities were accessible yet, but we loved the prospects of what was coming; namely a large splash pad, concession stand, washroom and change-rooms.

There were tables available for parents to sit and watch, or enjoy a picnic/snack, and there seemed to be some walking paths or trails, which we didn’t have time to fully explore.

The things we missed

No shade areas – why not put permanent umbrellas at the dining areas?

Some of the playground equipment, in my opinion, was not fully accessible.  The slides were ridiculously narrow, and I could barely fit down them.  Seems a rather poor oversight for a recently developed piece of equipment.

The washrooms and water stations were all out of order, but I won’t take points away, as I have to assume it’s because do much was under construction at the time.
